The Alexander Thomson Society ‘Mark Baines Architectural Illustration Competition’ 2022 initially opened in the Lighthouse and we’re delighted to show the works at the club.
Mark Baines, late Chair and founding member of the Alexander Thomson Society in 1991, was an architect who taught at the Mackintosh School of Architecture in Glasgow for thirty five years.
The Society wanted to recognise the importance of his work and beliefs, and an international architectural illustration competition open to all proved an apposite way of achieving this. The competition brief stated they were quite simply looking for a beautiful illustration of a building. Come along to the club and see the fantastic results!
