Friends of Glasgow West Convenor Ann Laird offers a historical snapshot of the wide range of sport and other activities enjoyed by local residents, all around Woodlands, Park and the Westend. From the Arlington’s baths and swimming pond, to nearby Burnbank Grounds and beyond. Looking at cricket, bowls, curling and football, the wonderful “West End Park”, now Kelvingrove Park, and many beautiful pleasure gardens.
